多年來，我曾為不同年齡組羣、特質的市民服務。如今從事社會工作教育，但仍積極參與志願工作及工會運動。今次參選主要希望能推動轉變，消弭貧窮、偏見、及推動社會關顧。本來這應該是政府的基本任務。無奈在位者享有權位，却並不關心民間疾苦。他們能掌權但却未具有大眾的認許、正式授權。故此做决策時，未能反映大眾素求。來屆特首選舉在即，我們先要選出界內真正能代表大家以監察及促成具競爭的選舉、反映社會的現況，及界內大家同工關注的議題，最終令較能認同我們理念的候選人當選。

For years, I have been working with different age groups and people with a disability as a social work practitioner or administrator. I am now teaching social work at a local university, but at the same time, I serve as a volunteer for self-help groups, or organizations serving people with a disability and am actively involved in union works.

I would like to join this election because I wan to make positive changes to poverty, prejudice and the general lack of social care in the society. The government as the most important institution that has the duty to plan, finance and provide a variety of social services, could have done a much better job if the leaders had just a bit more commitment and sensitivity. But they failed to perform well due to poor decision making and too little concern about structural challenges that are quite obvious to all of us. More importantly, they get their jobs without the public endorsement. Thus, there is a legitimacy crisis in our government.

We therefore need a new electoral system, a new policy making mechanism and together we can set up public agenda items and turning general policy goals to tangible services.

We need more competitions in our next Chief Executive election. Elected members of the new Election committee have to ensure the candidate, who can be more responsive to the issues that we have raised could win and become the new leader.

Please support me and the other Demo-Social 60 candidates so that we can jointly monitor the election next year on your behalf and make fundamental changes to the society eventually.
