在一個缺乏民主、偏向實利及經濟發展的社會，從事政策倡議的工作並不容易。我一直憑藉社工的信念推動社會發展，曾參與推動設立扶貧委員會，並發起成立〈爭取全民退休保障聯席〉及〈爭取資助院舍聯席〉。我亦積極推動社會企業發展，及參與成立香港社會創業論壇及黑暗中的對話等。在社會工作方面，我參與社工專業組織的工作，曾為社協會長。
加入社工行列已經二十年了，我一直以此為榮，並時刻提醒自己抱著謙卑的心，聆聽弱勢社群的聲音。我亦相信，只有一個民主的政治制度，才可達致人人平等，令弱勢社群的聲音受到尊重。
Justice and equality is the values of social workers. Respect for and protecting the dignity of every individual is our mission.
In a society which lacks democracy and emphasizes pragmatism, profits and economic development, policy advocacy is difficult. Social work belief has always guided my work as a policy advocate for social development, including the establishment of Commission on Poverty, Joint Alliance for Universal Retirement Protection and Alliance for subsidized Residential Services. I have also participated in social entrepreneurship movement including the setting up of HK Social Entrepreneurship Forum and Dialogue-in-the Dark HK. And I was also the president of HKSWA.
I have always been proud of being a social worker in past 20 years. I always remind myself to be humble in listening to the voices of vulnerable groups. And I also believe that, only in a democratic political system could the voices of vulnerable groups be respected and equality achieved.
